- Teachers are certified in adult and child CPR, First Aid, EpiPen and medication administration.
- Specializing in Kindergarten Readiness, children continually practice to hang up their own coat and back pack, walking in a single file line, raising their hand during circle time, name/ shape/ letter recognition, using scissors, writing, following directions, problem solving, speaking in a group setting and fire drills to name a few.

Typical Schedule:
9:00-10:15- Morning Free Play/ small group project
10:25-10:45- Snack
10:50-11:15- Circle Rug
11:15-11:45- Outside Play (Weather Permitting)
12:00-12:30- Lunch
12:30- 1:00- Activity/Music/Story
Tracie McDermott is the Director for the Nursery School. With her degree in Early Childhood Education and over 28 years experience she is excited to gear the Nursery School into the 21st century. "With direct communication with our local Kindergarten I feel we have a huge advantage. Year after year the Kindergarten teachers praise us, saying our students are ready". Tracie plans to stick with what has been working but is also excited to add fresh new elements. She resides in Orange, with her husband Brian and two daughters who both attended OCCNS.
Sara Restrepo is an Assistant Director for the Nursery School. She began substituting at OCCNS in 2014 and joined as a teacher in 2017. Sara is a registered nurse with a BS degree, and has been serving as the nursery school's health consultant since 2010. She resides in Orange with her husband Jose and two daughters. Not only are her daughters graduates of OCCNS, but she is as well!
Lindsay Marieb is an Assistant Teacher for the Nursery School. She has her BA in Psychology and BSN in Nursing. In addition to her career as a newborn ICU nurse, she has over 11 years of volunteering at Racebrook Elementary School and has been subbing at OCCNS prior to becoming a permanent teacher here in 2017. She and her husband Mark reside in Orange where they raised their 3 sons, all graduates of OCCNS.
